Sumdown Launch: Start With 100 Free Credits

Sumdown Team ยท

Sumdown is moving from private beta toward launch, and we want the first experience to feel simple: create an account, add the videos you care about, and see whether summaries fit into the way you learn.

For a limited time, new accounts start with 100 free launch credits.

Why We Changed the Launch Offer

We originally planned to promote Sumdown with a monthly subscription discount. That works for people who already know they want a paid plan, but it is less useful for someone still evaluating the product.

Credits are clearer. They let you try the actual workflow before making a billing decision:

  • paste a YouTube link and get a full summary
  • connect YouTube and pull in videos from selected channels
  • build a personal library of summaries
  • search, read transcripts, and ask questions in chat

Each standard video summary uses 1 credit. With 100 launch credits, you can test Sumdown across enough videos to decide whether it belongs in your routine.

What Sumdown Does

Sumdown turns YouTube videos into readable, structured summaries. It is built for people who use YouTube to learn but do not want to spend every day fighting the recommendation feed.

You can use it for:

  • technical talks and tutorials
  • research interviews and podcasts
  • product, business, and strategy videos
  • lectures and long-form explainers
  • videos you want to save for later without rewatching

The goal is not to replace the original creator. The goal is to help you decide what deserves your time, keep the useful parts searchable, and return to ideas without opening another tab.

What Is Included in the Bonus

The launch bonus gives new accounts 100 credits. Credits expire 30 days after they are granted.

You can spend them on summaries from pasted links or videos imported into your Sumdown library. When you need more, monthly credit plans are available from the app.

How to Start

Sign up from the homepage or try the free YouTube summarizer. After your account is created, the 100 launch credits are available in the app.

We are still improving the product quickly, so feedback during launch matters. If something feels confusing, slow, or not useful enough, tell us. That is the point of launching with enough credits to properly test the product.

Thanks for trying Sumdown early.
